Client: NHCC is the nations largest information management and operational improvement-consulting firm exclusively in the healthcare market place.  Founded in 1980, NHCC has consistently expanded services, client base and industry leadership position every year.  With 21 offices throughout North America and Europe , NHCC has served over 800 health care clients and performed over 1500 projects for some of the healthcare’s most prestigious organizations.   These clients include nations’ leading healthcare provider organizations and insurers. 

Project: The Practice Director will provide leadership in the Health Plans vertical. Through a strong understanding of the managed care industry and the technology    knowledge this leader demonstrates expertise in managing multiple engagements, developing leads for the firm and assisting in closing add on and/or new business.  In addition this individual is responsible for marshaling the resources to satisfy client projects including: communicating to group staffing resource regarding assignment of associates to projects, demonstrating a mastery of core project skills-planning, monitoring and documenting a project, overseeing development of project associates, building relationships with clients, delivering project economics and recruiting appropriate talent.  Finally, this individual will write and participate in annual reviews and serve as a coach for career development of the staff.

Candidate Requirements: The successful candidate has demonstrated ability working in a dynamic and fast paced organization.  In addition this individual possesed the ability to effectively interface with diverse clients and provide technical solutions within complex managed care operations.  They had experience with core project implementation management specifically supporting health plans.  Several years of project management and supervisory experience were necessary demonstrating excellent sustainable senior level client relationships.  In addition they excel in customer service orientation, leadership and mentoring skills and demonstrate a collaborative team oriented style.  Effective communication, presentation and contract negotiation skills were also necessary, as is previous consulting experience and extensive travel.

Strategy:    We quickly began targeting Senior Managers and Directors in Healthcare Consulting by leveraging our network of consultants supporting managed care initiatives.  In addition we identified and recruited these same individuals in other Boutique Organizations and Vendors.  We also used our extensive network of senior staff in managed care organizations. This search was national in scope with a strong focus to the central United States .

PostScript: The final candidate for this position was selected and began work within ninety days of the initiation of the search.  As a direct result of our efforts for this position the executive staff requested our services for several other strategic hires within this arm of the organization.
